Terms of Service
Last Updated: May 31, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Syncara website (located at syncara.org) and the browser workstation application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable local and international laws. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue your use of our software and site immediately.
2. Scope of Service & Platform Modification
Syncara is a browser-native web utility designed to assist users in manually aligning audio and text files, shifting timestamps, creating karaoke lyric templates, and editing WebVTT/SRT subtitles. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, tool, or aspect of the workstation at any time without notice. Since the code runs inside your local browser memory, updates will be pushed automatically to your browser cache upon page reload.
3. Intellectual Property Ownership
We claim no ownership, control, or copyright over the assets you upload to or export from the Syncara interface:
- All media files, waveforms, text transcripts, and edited subtitle files are exclusively yours.
- Because all computation and data compilation happen entirely in-memory on your device, we have no mechanism to see, review, or store your copyrighted media.
- The source code, trademarks, designs, UI elements, and brand assets of Syncara are owned by the platform creators and are protected under relevant copyright laws.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
Syncara is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that exports will perfectly match every video player’s formatting requirements. You are responsible for validating the accuracy and integrity of all timed files prior to deployment.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the creators of Syncara or its contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including, without limitation, loss of data, loss of business profits, or system interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the local workstation, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
6. Term Modifications
We may revise these Terms of Service for our website at any time without notice. By using this website, you agree to be bound by the then-current version of these Terms of Service.
